The Cincinnati Union Terminal Company was formed in 1923 as the corporate representative of seven railroad systems and was incorporated on November 12, 1927. The company was created to plan a single railroad terminal that would serve all of the railway needs of Cincinnati. The Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen was founded in 1883 in Oneonta, New York as a protective and insurance organization.
